Beckis Cooper is a professional actress and writer who loves sharing her passion for acting with young people.

She is currently preparing a new play, From Chawton, for Jane Austen’s House and Lamport Hall in 2026, following a recent tour of her acclaimed Shakespeare solo show Unversed… which performed at venues nationwide including Shakespeare’s Birthplace, Chawton House, The Painted Room and The Stamford Arts Centre.

Other credits include: Macbeth (Thorington Theatre and The Tabard Theatre); Twelfth Night (for Players Theatre Company at The Prebendal Manor) ; Grace Notes (for The Kings Head Theatre/ Edinburgh Fringe/ The Smock Alley Theatre, Dublin /The Chapel Playhouse, London); The Play at 8 (The Space); Much Ado About Nothing and The Winter’s Tale for The Cambridge Shakespeare Festival; Making Monsters (For The Old Red Lion/Surgeons’ Hall at The Edinburgh Fringe); In The Woods Festival (Direct H); Useless and The Lonely Soldier Monologues (Brixton East); Miss Julie for The Richmond Shakespeare Company and Romeo and Juliet for The Stamford Shakespeare Company at Tolethorpe Hall.

Beckis trained at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and The Drama Studio, following a degree in Literature from The University of Oxford and is represented by Macfarlane Chard Associates.
