At The Garford Hall – Easton on the Hill ; Thursdays 6-8pm
On Thursdays I run an exciting acting class for adults and teens who wish to receive some professional acting training whilst also having so much fun! We train in all aspects of professional acting but focus largely on Restoration Comedy, following the village’s rich tradition of comedy. Easton on the Hill has, for many years, enjoyed performance opportunities with EATS [Easton Amateur Theatrical Society] and an annual talent show in the summertime. We now have my classes to bring together actors from Easton, Stamford and surrounding areas to form a semi-professional company and create magic every week!
Since its inception in June 2026, New Scene has enjoyed weekly classes with a strong core membership of enthusiastic members from all backgrounds and ages, all sharing a common love of theatre and a desire to sharpen their crafts.
The training is professional but the approach is light and fun with all of us finding much to laugh about and enjoy every week. We are not an ‘Am Dram’ group but neither are we prescriptive or intense. The language of the fan, mask work, commedia, physicality, vocal work, scripted work and improvisation all takes place around working on a core text.
This summer we are working on The Provoked Wife by John Vanbrugh.
